Arsenal player Mesut Ozil has said that he would want to know whether the club's boss Arsene Wenger is staying at the club before he will decide to sign a contract extension or not.
There has been many reports that the German international midfielder is considering leaving the Emirates stadium with 18 months left on his current deal.
On the other side, Arsene Wenger's contract expires this summer, and the Frenchman has explained that he would decide on his future as Gunners' boss at the end of the current Premier League season.
The 28-year-old former Real Madrid player has now explained that he is happy at Arsenal, but stressed that he wants proper clarity on Wenger's future at the club.
''I feel very, very happy at Arsenal and have let the club know I would be willing to extend. The fans want me to stay, and now it's only down to the club.

''The club knows I am here mainly because of Arsene Wenger, who brought me here and whose trust I have. The club also knows that I want clarity about what the manager is doing,'' Ozil said
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger had earlier revealed that he in unsure whether Ozil will sign a contract extention with the Gunners.
