Car snatcher beaten to stupor in Abia






















A car thief who left Owerri to go and steal in Abia State was almost beaten to death after he was caught by the Bakassi Boys Vigilante group.

It was a bad day in the office for a notorious thief after he attempted to snatch a car in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

Daily Post reports that the criminal who said he came all the way from Owerri, Imo State, to steal a car in Umuahia, was given the beating of his life and was only saved from death by the police who forcefully whisked him away from the blood mongering crowd.

The thief, according to reports, was apprehended while trying to steal a Toyota Camry at the popular Okpara Square in Umuahia at about 9:30 a.m.

But luck ran out on him after a vigilante group in the state, the Bakassi Boys, apprehended him, tied him to an iron gate and beat him to stupor before he was rescued by the police.
