Game reserve rangers arrest 2 for killing antelope

wo notorious poachers, Bala Garba and Halilu Adamu, have been arrested by rangers at the Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi, for killing an antelope.

According to reports, Garba is a serial animal poacher who has already served a jail term for killing elephants at the park.
On its Facebook page, the games reserve management stated that Garba was jailed for six months in 2015 for killing elephants in order to get their tusks.

He however went back to committing the same crime when he was released from prison.
The game reserve, which was introduced in 1956 has seen recent mismanagement and lack of funding that has turned it to a shadow of itself.
That became the case since the Bauchi State Government took over control of the tourist attraction.
